Sertoma’s Children’s Hearing Aid Program provide free hearing aids and related services to eligible children across the state of Florida. If you’re a parent or guardian of a child experiencing hearing loss, we’re here to help—at no cost to you.
This program is proudly sponsored by the Florida Department of Health.
How the Program Works

Apply for Help
Complete our digital application. We can also send it to you by email, fax, or mail.

Choose an Audiologist
Once approved, we’ll help you select a provider from our statewide network of participating audiologists.

Attend Appointments
Your audiologist will guide your child’s care. If hearing devices are recommended, Sertoma covers the cost directly—meaning little to no expense for your family.

Enjoy the Gift of Sound
Your child will be fitted with hearing aids and receive guidance on how to use and care for them.
Eligibility & Required Documents
To qualify, your child must:
- Be a Florida resident through the age of 18
- Not eligible for CHIP (KidCare) or Medicaid
- Have family income under 400% of the Federal Poverty Level
Documents Required:
- Proof of Age (e.g., birth certificate or ID)
- Proof of Florida Residency (e.g., FL driver's license or vehicle registration)
- Proof of Income (e.g., latest tax return or verification documents)

How do I apply?

Can I use my current audiologist?
If your child’s audiologist isn’t in our network, contact us—we’re happy to reach out and invite them to join.
Does Children's Hearing Aid Program cover all costs?
Yes. Children's Hearing Aid Program pays your audiologist directly for services and hearing aids. Families typically pay nothing.
What if my child has private insurance?
Private insurance is applied first, and Children's Hearing Aid Program covers any remaining cost. CHIP (KidCare) and Medicaid recipients are not eligible.
